Opportunity Sheffield
Opportunity Sheffield is a new service provided at no cost to the employer by Sheffield City Council and funded by the Council, Yorkshire Forward and the European Regional Development Fund to provide impartial help and support to Sheffield’s employers.
Opportunity Sheffield is targeted at employers across the city and particularly those who are at risk as a result of the economic downturn. The programme provides a range of packages to help businesses survive the challenging economic climate and be in a healthy position to increase trading as market conditions improve.
Opportunity Sheffield brings together a number of specialist providers, working in partnership across priority sectors in the City. We are delighted to be able to work with our delivery partners to offer Sheffield employers an outstanding range of services.
We have been awarded the opportunity to deliver packages in the following areas:
- NHS, Health & Social Care
- Retail Job Brokerage
- Support Package for employers taking on people who have been unemployed
This means we can provide employers across the city with advice and support in terms of workforce development, staff retention and recruitment to make them an “employer of choice”. Additionally we can offer vacancy matching services reducing the administrative burden of recruitment from employers and helping to reduce costs. Our approach towards workforce development through the delivery of support packages and job brokerage will help ensure we deliver the right people for the right roles and maximise productivity across the organisations we work with.
