Routes into Work (RIW)

This voluntary programme is a young person’s initiative to support young people into employment within growth sectors throughout West and South Yorkshire.

Who is it for?

For unemployed 18-24 year olds that are in receipt of Jobseeker's Allowance for a period of 6 months +. Joining this voluntary programme will not affect your benefits.

What does it cover?

The Routes into Work course covers pre-employment training and sector specific training. Delivery of the programme can be sector led or for specific employers with active vacancies and the duration may vary. Vacancy led courses can last from 2-8 weeks and although employer led courses are specific to each employer, they typically last between 2 and 4 weeks.
