Flexible New Deal (FND)

The new FND programme was established by Government to replace the current New Deal programme. This change is taking place in two phases and South Yorkshire is one of the first areas to implement the new programme.

Who is it for?

For those people who have been unemployed and in receipt of Jobseeker's Allowance for 12 months.

What does it cover?

The aim of FND is to help people who have been receiving Jobseeker's Allowance for 12 months to develop their skills and find and retain a job. The programme is tailored to each individual and offers a wide range of bespoke training, information, advice and guidance as well as providing a range of job searching skills. It supports individuals in accessing training from a number of partner organisations whilst still providing them with support from a dedicated BEST team member.

Where is it held?

The first phase will be held in locations across South Yorkshire. A list of BEST locations is available.
